I'm inviting you to join me along my 1970's Home Remodel. So far, I have shared with you my updated Hallway Bath, Living Room tour and now I'm revealing or updated Family Room! I also encourage you to visit the rest of my amazing blogger friends who's sharing a re-do, don't forget to visit them at the end of this post!
Here's a couple more raw pics when we started demolition of the family room. On the right (above) you can see that we rounded the square entrance and added a beautiful arch.
Here's the other side of the family room where the TV is on the left wall. In lieu of a sliding door, we installed a window instead. Just so we have a better and comfortable seating with our sectional.
Since this is a one story home, I wanted a nice flow throughout the house. This shot reveals the other side of the house...Adjacent to my family room sits my dining room.
This is a shot is looking at an angle from my dining room.
Striped pillow I found from Arhaus which they no longer carry but I've linked a similar one here! My indoor/outdoor pillow I got from Pottery Barn.
Beautiful blue hydrangeas is from a local store, Tuesday Morning. Don't they look so real?!
I'm also in love with this gorgeous canvas print I was lucky to find from my local store Tuesday Morning. It fits my coastal theme so well! This is a much larger canvas but I've linked a similar one you can find here! And linked this beautiful throw I found from Arhaus!
As for the drapery, I went with a rustic, weathered wood curtain rod with simple cream drapery. I wanted to keep the flow of neutrals and whites going throughout the house.
White seems to be the main focus in our new home! I have all white seating in my living room and another all white seating was calling its name in my family room too lol and this gorgeous sectional my family loves!
Lets take a minute to talk about this gorgeous reclaimed wood coffee table, it's my FAVORITE piece yet! Its very earthy, perfect fit for our small family room and goes with the over all theme of our updated house; very light, simply & airy. And we got it for a great price too!
